KIPON BAVEYES PL-PL 0.7x Adapter is designed to reduce the focal length of a lens by the factor 0.7x. The light transmission is increased by one stop. The innovative optical design which consists of 13 lenses in 12 groups ensures low distortion and maximum imaging accuracy. The adapter take PL or LPL mount lenses by default and allows light pass through to a maximum T-Stop of T1.5 on the object side. The resulting T-Stop is up to T1.1 and the image can cover sensor sizes up to 36mm diagonal.

0.7x image reduction
The adapter reduces the image circle of the attached lens by a factor of 0.7. For example, it reduces the image circle of a full frame lens to fit the S35 format, or it reduces the image circle of a S35 lens to fit the S16 format. This allows for greater versatility in using various lens types on different camera formats without sacrificing image quality.
Wider and faster
The relay optics in the KIPON adapter enable the 0.7x reduction of focal length, resulting in a wider field of view. This special optic also provides an additional stop of light, significantly improving light transmission. Filmmakers benefit from brighter shots and greater flexibility in challenging lighting situations.
180° image rotation
The relay design of the KIPON PL-PL 0.7x causes a 180° rotation of the image before it is projected onto the camera sensor. This requires to flip the image in the camera settings to properly rotate the image and ensure natural orientation.
Relay construction advantage
The relay construction is what makes it possible to project an image from a PL mount lens onto a PL mount camera. This is something that cannot be achieved with conventional focal reducer designs.
