The kit combines KIPON Elegant 90mm F2.4 Lens M mount and M-M Extender 2x, allowing the focal length of Elegant lens to be doubled.
M-M Extender 2x
KIPON Baveyes Extender 2x M-M is designed to double the focal length of Leica M mount lenses. The extenderer allows light to pass through up to an aperture of 1.4. During the design process, care was taken to leave the character of the lenses used largely unchanged and to ensure the greatest possible compatibility with as many lenses as possible. The 2x extender is compatible with a wide range of Leica M lenses.
The optical design consisting of 7 lenses in 4 groups uses high refractive index and low dispersion glass and has been optimized for maximum contrast transmission and minimum aberrations with state-of-the-art optical design software. Tolerance and stray light analysis by special software, avoids ghosting and reflections already at the design stage and ensures maximum imaging performance.
Elegant 90mm F2.4 Lens
The compact Elegant lenses are ideally suited for mirrorless cameras. They are small and fast enough to handle any and all photographic situations. For instance, cropping portraits, or landscape and street photography. All capabilities for image composition and visual imagery can be creatively realized with the manual lenses.
The puristic Elegant lenses with a constant speed of 2.4 and focal length of 90mm come in black and are initially available for Leica M mount systems. During development, particular attention was placed on achieving a light weight and compact size in order to live up to the guiding principle of mirrorless cameras. Elegant lenses can be used on cameras with full fame sensors as well as cameras with APS-C sensors.
The design calculated with demand for highest image quality for digital sensors is based on classic constructions. Without autofocus and electronic aperture control also for the version with Leica M mount systems. As a result, the photographer is in complete control when selecting the focus point and thus the original photography experience is preserved compared to autofocus lenses.
